Established Macedonian-Swiss Business Club

The Macedonian – Swiss Business Club was officially established with the support of the Swiss Embassy and the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce.

Addressing the present companies, founding members of the business club, the President of the Association, Danela Arsovska and the Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland, Stefan Tomajan, marked the beginning of the work of the Macedonian-Swiss Business Club and gave special emphasis to the commitments made, at the club. The president of the business club was Jasminka Taleska, director of the Swiss company Novartis.

Arsovska noted that the business club was formed as a result of the detected need and potential for increasing business cooperation and the number of Swiss companies operating in our country.
“There is great potential for further enhancing the opportunities for cooperation between companies from both countries. The purpose of the establishment is first and foremost to increase cooperation. By uniting Swiss equity companies and companies in the Union that have an interest in cooperation, we believe we will increase trade by € 105 million last year, with exports of € 40 million and imports of € 65 million. euro, ”Arsovska said.

Switzerland’s Deputy Ambassador Tomajan stressed that the Embassy will strive to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on increasing trade and economic cooperation.
“It is gratifying that today’s event is attended by companies from Switzerland and companies interested in doing business with Switzerland to join and form a business club. This is a sign that bilateral economic relations are good. We are convinced of the potential for increased trade and investment between our two countries. In that direction, the new business club will have a useful role, “Tomajan said.

The president of the business club, Jasminka Taleska, said that this cooperation or the establishment of the business club will only result in success.
“The creation of the Macedonian Swiss Business Club, in addition to opening countless doors and opportunities for members, will also contribute to the networking of thousands of companies, building and strengthening relationships, mutual promotion and many other benefits. As a market to be a target, the entry and operation of Swiss companies is the primary goal and it will benefit both parties, ”said Taleska.

Currently over 40 companies have 100% Swiss capital or distribute Swiss products or services on the Macedonian market.
